A former band hall could strike the right note for an investor as it comes up for sale at auction next month.

A fitness coach or dance instructor may also want to step out in a new direction by buying the ready-to-go building and setting up in business.

The hall at River Row, Cwm, near Ebbw Vale, which also has more than 10,000 sq ft of vacant land to the side and rear of the building, is listed with a guide price of £20,000.

Sean Roper, of Newport-based Paul Fosh Auctions, who is handling the sale, said: “This is a really versatile, well-equipped building which could well be suitable for a number of alternative uses including perhaps as a dance studio, gym or a community centre.

“Alternatively, the building would also offer scope for redevelopment of the whole site either for houses or flats subject to obtaining the necessary planning permission.

“The former band hall lies in the former coal mining town of Cwm, just south of the bustling former south Wales steel town of Ebbw Vale which offers an excellent range of amenities, shopping facilities and the Festival Park shopping outlet.

The ground floor of the building, which is equipped with a kitchen and toilets offers a total of some 1,095 sq ft of space.

The next Paul Fosh Auctions sale, when the former band hall will be offered for sale, alongside some 70 other properties is on Thursday February 8 at The Park Inn Hotel, Cardiff starting at 5pm.
