Make a note in your diary for the weekend of July, 1 and 2 for the first Caerphilly Flower festival. It sounds like a great idea, involving floral walks around Caerphilly town centre, floral displays in churches (with a free shuttle bus service running between the various churches), floral and art displays in the town centre, and a continental market ( bon jour but ). More details to follow nearer the time.

Well summer seems to have arrived, with spring lasting about a week back in early May (did anyone else spot it?). So now is the time to play catch up .
