Cheryl Fernandez-Versini has revealed The X Factor is keeping her awake at night - because Simon Cowell calls her at all hours to discuss the show.

The 31-year-old judge - who saw two of her acts get the boot from the ITV singing contest at the weekend - is fed up of losing out on her beauty sleep because of Simon.

She told the Metro: " Simon likes to call at three in the morning. He is there and thinking about the show and thinking about pyrotechnics. He's such a perfectionist."

Cheryl revealed she is thinking of distancing herself from Simon - by swapping seats with Louis Walsh on the panel.

She said: "I'm actually going to check if I can move chairs. I think Louis should sit next to Simon and then I should sit next to Mel. That might work out nicer."

Simon recently said Cheryl looked like Kermit the Frog, when she wore a green Lanvin gown on the show, but Cheryl said she is used to him insulting her outfits.

She said: "It was an obvious thing to say because it was green. Simon looks like Zig and Zag. But I did find that funny.

"Last time I wore a David Koma disc dress, as soon as I sat down he gave me a look and said, 'What the bloody hell have you got on?'

"When I sat in the green dress he looked at us, and I thought, 'Oh here we go', I was waiting!"
