Strictly Come Dancing star Craig Revel Horwood has suggested that Anton Du Beke could become one of the show's judges in the future.

Craig, known for his cutting comments, tipped the professional dancer to become a fifth member of the panel - or said he could even step into Len Goodman's shoes if the head judge decided to call it a day.

Writing in his weekly column for Woman magazine, Craig said: "My money's on Anton Du Beke joining the judging panel.

"He could become the fifth judge, or he might take over from Len, if Len ever retires," he added.

The current panel consists of Craig and Len, alongside Bruno Tonioli and Darcey Bussell.

Len, 70, is the oldest member of the Strictly judging team, but has said he would never give up the job.

"Sometimes I read, 'Goodman isn't going to do it any more'. That's a load of nonsense," he told the Telegraph. "I'll never not do it. I'd never not do Strictly, it's fantastic. I love it."

Craig also said that new host Claudia Winkleman is doing a great job in the wake of Sir Bruce Forsyth's departure from the show.

"People always ask me if we're missing Brucie and the answer is of course, but Strictly's a supple beast and always moves with the times. And Claudia's fab, she gets wackier each week," he wrote.
