Aaron Paul has revealed he is still hoping for an appearance on Breaking Bad spin-off show, Better Call Saul.

The 35-year-old actor, who played Jesse Pinkman in AMC’s hit drama, admitted he has no idea if Vince Gilligan – who created both shows – and his writing partners have a cameo for him in mind.

“We always have fun having that discussion – Vince, myself, Peter [Gould], the writers. We just have no idea how that would happen. But hopefully one day,” he told Variety.

Better Call Saul, which is shown on Netflix, follows small-time lawyer James McGill, played by Bob Odenkirk, and is set six years before his appearance on Breaking Bad.

“I love it,” Aaron said of the show.

“It’s a little weird because it kind of looks like Breaking Bad. It has somewhat of a little bit different tone, but I know everyone involved, and I’m not involved in it at all and it’s a little weird, a little sad, but it’s great.”

Breaking Bad’s executive producer Michelle MacLaren also said she’d like to see Aaron and Bryan Cranston (Walter White) reunite on Better Call Saul, for which she directed an episode.

“Who knows what they’re gonna do, but it is a prequel, so [Aaron] absolutely could,” she said.

“I think it’s open to whoever Vince and Peter decide to bring in. I would imagine that everyone who would ask would say yes, but I have no idea what they’re going to do with it.”
