Mark Ronson’s Uptown Funk is the most streamed song of 2015 so far, with 45 million streams.
The song, which features Bruno Mars, tops the list of the official Top 40 most streamed songs of 2015 as revealed by OfficialCharts.com.
Speaking at the O2 Silver Clef Awards, where he was awarded the American Express Innovation trophy earlier today, he said: “It’s so crazy what Uptown Funk has done. I never could have imagined its success in a million years but it’s a song I’m very proud of that I wrote with people I love working with.”
The song also spent a total of seven weeks in the number one slot on the official singles chart.
The list of audio streaming services includes Spotify, Deezer, O2 Tracks, Napster and others.
Second place on the list goes to OMI’s Cheerleader (Felix Jaehn Remix), with Hozier’s Take Me To Church in third place.
Hozier’s tune has garnered 37.5 million streams so far in 2015.
In fourth place is Ed Sheeran’s Thinking Out Loud and Ellie Goulding’s Love Me Like You Do, which featured in the Fifty Shades Of Grey movie, has landed in fifth place.
British singer Sam Smith has four songs featured in the list in positions 20, 21, 27 and 34.
