Justin Bieber has said he will “make it up” to UK fans, after dropping out of Birmingham’s Fusion Festival.

The Never Say Never star – who had been on the bill to headline the opening night of the Cofton Park event on August 28, which is supporting the Prince’s Trust – announced his exit, citing an “unforeseen issue”.

Justin admitted he is prepared to receive a backlash over his non-performance, but said he continues to appreciate his fans, affectionately known as Beliebers.

The 21-year-old singer then revealed he has been working on his fourth album.

Festival organisers have yet to line up another act to replace Justin, saying in a statement: “It is with great regret that, due to unforeseen circumstances, Justin Bieber has withdrawn from his performance at Fusion Festival on Friday 28th August 2015.

“We are now working hard to secure another exciting act for the festival and will hopefully have some news shortly. We will also announce details of how you can apply for a refund should you require one. Please stay tuned to our social media channels for further announcements soon.”

Fans expressed their disappointment over Justin’s festival cancellation on Twitter.
