SET in the 1920's / 30's Singin’ In The Rain’s  plot revolves around the love mishaps of uber successful Hollywood heart throb, Don Lockwood,(Jordan Archer), who by chance meets Kathy Seldon, (Rebecca Jarvis), a struggling actress on a New York City Park Bench, where as a result sparks a potentially blossoming romance, much to the disapproval of Don's current leading lady the deluded Lina Lamont (Zoe Southcott).

Jordan Archer and Rebecca Jarvis, are just perfect as our leads, bringing to life the feel good love and romance, and are brilliantly supported by Zoe Southcott and Matthew Bryant as Don's life long friend Cosmo, who provided the audience with many classic comedy moments. Along with Chris Harris's characterisation of film director Roscoe Dexter, was an absolute joy to watch.

On the whole, the production flowed beautifully with its many scene changes. Minimal but effective sets, jaw dropping cinematic scenes, film sets, beautiful New York backdrops, and yes, actual falling rain on stage! All supported by dazzling direction, well-crafted choreography, accompanied by a brilliant orchestra giving us popular broad way classics such as "Good morning" and "Singin' in the Rain".

I couldn't possibly say all of this without mentioning the fantastic support of the ensemble / chorus, and the actors who took on the various multi roles. The entire cast proved to be highly talented, and in all this production, was very professionally done, and lives up to the credit given to the 1952 movie original.

Fancy "Singin' in the Rain". then you have until Saturday to use your umbrellas. Tickets are still available.
