Michael Jackson’s Neverland Ranch is up for sale, with a starting price of 100 million US dollars (£65 million).

The Santa Ynez Valley property, that was once the late pop star’s home and personal fantasyland, is being listed, according to the Wall Street Journal.

The 2,700-acre (4.2187 square miles) ranch in Los Olivos, featuring a train station, six-bedroom house and 50-seat cinema, has been in limbo since the singer’s death in 2009.

It is now called Sycamore Valley Ranch.

There was also a fairground on the site, although the rides have now been removed.

The orangutans and elephants are no longer around either, although a llama still lives there.

Jeffrey Hyland, from estate agents Hilton and Hyland, said: “Our seller is not encouraging a lot of showings. We’re not going to be giving tours.”

Jackson paid 19.5 million US dollars (£12.7 million) for the property in 1988 and rechristened it Neverland after Peter Pan’s island dwelling.

The real estate company Colony Capital LLC bailed out the Thriller star in 2008 after he defaulted on the 24.5 million US dollars (£15.9 million) that he owed on the property.

Jackson distanced himself from Neverland after his 2005 acquittal on charges that he molested children at the ranch and opted to live elsewhere.
