Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the last few months, you’ve probably aware that people were very very excited when Kylie Jenner launched her makeup brand, Kylie Cosmetics.

Aside from being a reality TV star, Kylie is known as somewhat of a makeup queen, forever staying one step ahead in the beauty game. Her eyebrows are on fleek, her lips are perfectly matte and her contour is sharp enough to kill a man. When she let us mere mortals get a chance to get in on that makeup magic, we jumped at the chance.

Her Kylie lip kits have sold out every time the company restocks, her gloss range has proved incredibly popular and her newest lip product, a range of metallic lip colours, has been as difficult to get hold of as Glasto tickets.

So when Kylie announced that she was about to release another product, people were very curious.

And for good reason, it seems. Kylie is taking the plunge into cosmetics outside of lip products with her first ever eyeshadow palette, or Kyshadow, if you will.

If you’re keen to get your hands on the very covetable palette, the launch will take place today (July 26th) at 3pm PST (11pm UK time) on kyliecosmetics.com, although if any of her previous releases are anything to go by, everything will be sold out within minutes. Prepare for a vicious battle to nab Ky’s first palette.

In a video released on her site, Kylie revealed the names of her new shades; Jasper, Quartz, Topaz, Goldstone, Citrine, Tiger’s Eye, Hematite, Bronzite and Obsidian. She said: “I love bronze colours and browns. I use this palette every day. All the makeup artists that work with me know that I’m very specific about the colour browns that go on my eye.”

Kylie has confirmed that the palette will cost $42 (£32), and like all her products, will be available exclusively on her Kylie Cosmetics site, although if you’re shopping in the UK you will also be hit by shipping and customs fees.

However, not everyone’s sold on Kylie’s new product, with many makeup fans questioning why the packaging contains no mirror.

Many eagle-eyed makeup fans have compared Kyshadow to the Morphe 350 palette, which contains more shades and is better value for money.

Others have drawn similarities to YouTube beauty guru Shaaanxo’s palette.

It remains to be seen whether makeup addicts will rate her palette as highly as they did her lip products, but one thing’s for sure; it won’t be long before reviews start rolling in and we get the verdict on whether it’s a good idea to spend a week’s worth of food money on nine eyeshadows.
