THE island of Tenerife is a firm favourite with visitors from the UK and receives 45% of the total number of British tourists who holiday in the Canaries. So far in 2007 Tenerife has welcomed a total 1.3 million visitors to the island and enjoys a staggering 80% repeat clientele - 31.4% of them staying in five-star hotels.
