Ysgol Cwm Rhymni pupils during their visit to the Senedd as members of FILMCLUB
A GROUP of pupils from from Ysgol Cwm Rhymni learned about democracy and the importance of making your voice heard at the Senedd last week.
The pupils went to the event organised by the education charity FILMCLUB Cymru for Local Democracy Week.
They visited the Senedd for the screening, in the presence of Education Minister Leighton Andrews, of a short film entitled 'Making a Difference'.
Ysgol Cwm Rhymni pupil Gruff Gwinnan, 15, is in the short film in which he interviewed AMs about democracy, their roles and ambitions, and which films and individuals have had a profound impact on them.
The charity is funded by the Welsh Government and supported by the Film Agency for Wales, is also launching a season of five inspirational films, chosen by AMs, which young people all over Wales are being invited to watch and discuss in their school film clubs.
