Caerphilly borough residents can get discount shopping card
3:33pm Monday 12th November 2012 in News
CAERPHILLY borough residents will be able to get discount from some retailers with a shopping card.
Caerphilly Council has worked together with town centres and retailers to create a shopping card which will give residents access to special offers and discounts in the run up to Christmas.
The Unique Places Christmas Card will be available from November 20 at libraries, leisure centres, Customer First Centres and local tourist attractions. The card will also be available to download from the www.caerphilly.gov.uk website and will be handed out at the Christmas town centre events.
Shoppers will be able to access the discounts between December 8 and 24.
Participating retailers will be listed on the council’s website and will display a sticker in their window during the promotional period.
Cllr Ken James, Cabinet Member for Regeneration, Planning and Sustainable Development said: "Our town centres have a wealth of retailers, including many independent local businesses. By increasing footfall and delivering great value, the Unique Places Christmas Card will help both retailers and customers make the most of the festive shopping season."
