Caerphilly borough refuse and recycling collection changes for the festive season

THERE will be some changes to refuse and recycling collection days over the Christmas and New Year period for the Caerphilly County Borough.
Changes to collection days are as follows:

December 24 Collection as normal
December 25 (No collection) December 27
December 26 (No collection) December 28
December 27 December 29
December 28 December 30
December 31 Collection as normal
January 1 (No collection) January 2
January 2 January 3
January 3 January 4
January 4 January 5
January 6 No collections
January 7 Collection as normal
Residents are reminded to please put bins/boxes/caddies out prior to 6am on the scheduled collection day.
Additional waste (up to two bags) will be accepted over the holiday period.
Wrapping paper (non-foil based) and small amounts of cardboard can be placed in residents’ recycling bin, larger amounts of cardboard can be deposited at Household Waste Recycling Centres.
Don’t forget to take Christmas trees to these sites for recycling too! Household Waste Recycling Centres will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day.
Normal opening times for all other days are 9am until 4.30pm.
