RESIDENTS in Caerphilly county can now recycle old computer games and CDs they don’t want, to reduce rubbish sent to landfill.
New media banks have been opened at the six household waste recycling centres in the area, which are accepting old games consoles such as Sega and Nintendo, along with CDs, DVDs, videos and books.
The move is aimed at cutting further the waste that goes to landfill.
The media banks will sit along textile banks at the sites around the local authority area.
Cabinet member for community and leisure services Cllr David Poole urged locals to use them, saying it would help Caerphilly county remain one of Wales’ best recycling authorities.
