A CRISP factory worker who lost his job after a devastating fire last year is now following his dream working outdoors.

Andrew Stark finished his shift as production team leader at the Real Crisps factory in Crumlin at 10pm on September 19 last year, only to return early the next morning to discover the building had been engulfed by fire.

“I was devastated to see the girders all bent and mangled,” said Mr Stark, 52, who worked at the factory for seven years.

“We were really worried and didn’t know what was going to happen.”

Mr Stark, who lives with his wife and their 16-year-old daughter in Blackwood, started his own business, Blackwood Tree and Garden Services.
