Risca woman fined £210 for throwing litter

A WOMAN who littered a Gwent street was ordered to pay fines and costs totalling £210 by a court.

Sarah Bevan, of Ty Sign, Risca, entered a guilty plea by post and the case was heard at Caerphilly Magistrates’ Court on February 14.

The offence was committed in Tredegar Street, Pontymister, on September 27 2012. Cllr David Poole, Caerphilly’s cabinet member for community and leisure services, said the council was determined to stamp out littering.
