Hengoed teen hopes for beauty crown

CAERPHILLY teen Chelsie Browning is pinning her hopes on local support to secure a place in the final of a beauty pageant.

The 16-year-old from Hengoed, needs votes to rise up the rankings in Miss Teen Queen UK.

The top two in each heat go through to a summer final in London.

Lewis Girls’ School pupil Chelsie was approached by a talent scout at Birmingham’s Clothes Show Live in December and asked if she would like to enter the competition.She attended a photoshoot with grandmother Lena Johnson, 56 and was thrilled to be told she would face the public vote.

Miss Browning said: “I didn’t think I would get this far and I am quite excited.”
