THE friends and family of missing Newbridge man Kyle Vaughan are organising a walk to raise awareness of his disappearance and reappeal for information.

A post on the 17,000-strong Missing – Kyle Vaughan Facebook page asks members to show their support by attending the event.

The walk will start at the Joe Calzaghe Bridge at Newbridge Leisure Centre on Saturday March 30 at 2.45pm, and asks people to wear red or the Manchester United strip.

The walk will last around 20 minutes and will end at The Newbridge Memo.

The last sighting of Mr Vaughan was on the A467 between Risca and Crosskeys, sometime between 11pm and 11.45pm on December 30.

Later that night officers found Kyle’s car – a silver Peugeot 306 – which had been involved in a collision.

Mr Vaughan’s cousin Beckie Imm said: “You are invited to show your support for missing Kyle Vaughan by joining us in a walk to demonstrate a community united by the unanswered questions surrounding Kyle’s disappearance.

“We want to remind people we are still looking for him, and that the search is ongoing.”

People from various parts of the Valleys have been arrested for a number of offences since Gwent Police started treating Mr Vaughan’s disappearance as murder.

A 27-year-old woman and 28-year-old man from Cwmfelinfach and two men aged 24 and 27 from Blackwood were arrested on suspicion of murder.

A 22-year-old woman and 62-year-old man from Newbridge were arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice and a 21- year-old man from Newbridge and a 15-year-old boy from Abercarn were arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.

All eight have the same bail date of March 21 when they will be charged, rebailed or face the possibility of no further action.
