CAERPHILLY’S leader will face a no confidence motion during what is likely to be a heated full council meeting this evening.
The opposition Plaid Cymru group have brought the motion against leader Harry Andrews following the damning Wales Audit Office report into huge pay rises for senior officers.
Plaid group leader Colin Mann called it "the worst crisis since Caerphilly council was established" and said the leader must take responsibility.
But, Labour figures hit back, calling the motion "malicious" and calling Cllr Andrews "an inspiration".
The meeting starts at 5pm and you can follow our live updates or join the debate using #caerphillyvote
