Motorist arrested after teen dies in Hengoed crash

A TEENAGER has died in a car crash in Hengoed.
The 18-year old male pedestrian was killed after he was hit by a black BMW car on Hengoed Crescent, around 12.55pm on Saturday September 28.
The teenager, who is from Cefn Hengoed, was taken to the Prince Charles Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The 29 year old male driver of the BMW, who is also from the local area, has been arrested on suspicion of death by dangerous driving and is currently in custody.
Specialist officers are supporting the family of the deceased at this time.
Officers investigating the incident are appealing for anyone who witnessed the crash, or anyone who may have seen a black BMW Compact being driven in and around the area at that time to contact them on 101 and quote log number 263 28/9/13
