People in South Wales have been told to brace themselves for strong storms this weekend and early next week.
The Met Office has issued a yellow warning for heavy rain for Sunday and an orange warning for severe wind and persistent rain on Monday, when gusts could reach speeds up to 80 miles per hour.
And they have said the public should be prepared for the risk of falling trees, minor damage to buildings and possible power cuts. Floods are likely in low-lying areas.
“People should think about delaying their journeys on Monday, particularly until there’s sunlight so they can see possible debris in the road,” a Met Office spokeswoman said.
Darron Burness, head of the AA’s flood rescue team, said: “It’s very important to keep your speed down and drive with great care, particularly on country roads.”
The worst of the storm is likely to hit the southern coast of England on Monday.
