BARGOED town centre will be closing its main roads on Saturday for this year’s Christmas Market.
It will be the first time road closure of the town centre will be implemented for the annual event, which Caerphpilly council says will be ‘the biggest and best’ yet.
The town centre will open for its festive entertainment event from 10am-4pm, with a host of food and craft traders, children’s activities including pottery and crafts and street theatre.
From Hanbury Square through to the Emporium Car Park and St Gwladys’ Church, the streets will be filled with funfair rides and attractions.
Punch and Judy shows, animal displays and music will also feature. St Gwladys’ Church will host a Santa’s grotto for £1 a child, along with more children’s crafts.
The ice rink will also open on Saturday for its nine-day stint in St Gwladys’ Church car park – £3 per person. For more information, contact the Visit Caerphilly Centre on 029 2088 0011 or visit www.caerphilly.gov.uk/christmas
