MORE searches of the River Usk in Caerleon were carried out yesterday in the search for missing Newport man and South Wales Argus worker Ben Caplan.
Mervyn Fleming, area commander for Severn Area Rescue Association West, said: "We conducted a further search yesterday evening from 6pm - 10pm, but nothing was found.
"We are aiming to do another sweep tomorrow or Sunday in the light and when the tide will be low, exposing the river banks."
Meanwhile, none of the CCTV footage viewed so far by police has been able to confirm any sightings of missing man, Ben Caplan.
This morning police spoke to Mr Caplan's wife, Danielle and said Ben had yet to be identified in any of the the CCTV viewed by them.
Reported sightings continue to come in and are being followed up by the police.
Ben, who is not originally from Gwent, still has a distinctive Scottish accent.
Anyone who might have seen Ben or has any information should call Gwent Police on 101 quoting log number 295 08/12/13.
