A ROSE by any other name would smell as sweet!
The debate about the title of the Welsh Ambulance smacks yet again of a Whitehall farce.
Changing the name and consequently costing a vast amount of money in the so-called “re-branding” will do nothing to support a vital service that is sailing against the wind and being criticised for delays not of its doing!
Just imagine the expenditure. Design of the new name and logo, the change of all the letter heads, the change of the invoicing paper bills that are sent to local health boards let alone the change in livery of the front-line vehicles, patient-transport vehicles and other transport vehicles.
This is a suggestion for an obscene waste of money by bureaucrats advocating change for changes sake. It will do nothing to increase a provision by a service shackled as a result of an increasing shortage of beds in our hospital.
