Islwyn AM Gwyn Price to step down

Campaign Series: STEPPING DOWN: Islwyn AM Gwyn Price STEPPING DOWN: Islwyn AM Gwyn Price

THE Assembly Member for Islwyn will not seek re-election in 2016.

Gwyn Price says he wants to spend more time with his family and “do other things” after 2016.

Mr Price said: “I can confirm that will not seek re-election to the Assembly in 2016. “The Labour Party have asked all AMs to let them know and last Friday I informed the Labour Group in the Assembly and my [local Labour party] general committee, about my decision.

“It is a privilege and honour to represent the people of Islwyn and I look forward to doing so for the next two years. “The only reason I have made this decision is I want to spend more time with my family, doing other things from 2016 onwards.”

Never heard of him. Anyone know what he's done since he's been in the Assembly?

Just looked the clown up on Wikipedia. Apparently he's standing down to concentrate on writing his autobiography "Code of Silence", based on his experiences as the National Assembly's great communicator. They'll be queueing from Cwmbran WH Smiths all the way to Pontypool for that one i bet.
