  • "It is believed that the actual tree felling will not commence until 2016. I accept that the drive will have to close whilst the work is being done but 5 years closure at the very minimum does seem a bit drastic. The bike track will still be open so the "non paying" public will be able to continue to use all these free facilities. The Scenic drive has attracted thousands of people over the years (and not just bikers) and to close it would be awful. A few months ago there was a presentation in the visitors centre of options for improving the drive, the caravan site and all of the surrounding facilities. Was this just false hopes?? Nobody seems to care about the little village of Cwmcarn. I sincerely hope that the Scenic Drive will reopen in the near future."

WE brought the news yesterday that the future of Cwmcarn Forest Drive is uncertain due to large-scale tree-felling which will begin in November.
