At a fiver to go and drive round it prices me out. Plenty of other viewing points and fun walks for the kids about without the cost of £5. Sorry to hear it's future is in jeopardy but won't make much difference to my life! Try the canal for a nice walk and view.
Agree Lockjoe. The other "put off" are the mountain bikers belting round the place at top speed with no regard for anyone else.
not to mention the dog walkers letting their dogs sh!t everywhere!
No wonder Cwmcarn is liked so much by the selfish few and avoided by many who dont want to be mown down by 30 year old kids riding mountain bikes or
    wade through dog cr*p!!!"

WE brought the news yesterday that the future of Cwmcarn Forest Drive is uncertain due to large-scale tree-felling which will begin in November.

Are you one of the hundreds of thousands of people who use Gwent's biggest tourist attraction? Are you concerned that it could close in November, never to re-open again?

If you are, our reporter Emma Mackintosh would like to speak to you.
