There really are some pathetic petty ignorant people on here.

What a lot of them don't realise is that there are thousands of legal "green lanes" that run all over the countryside in the UK.

Don't tar the legal law abiding off road riders with the same brush as some local chav who probably stole his bike anyway.

Unless you are aware of the location of all the legal routes, don't make accusations of law breaking and stick to your childish arguments about the glebelands.
Many of the off-roaders do not know where the green lanes are and of course many do not care. The track leading from Twmbarlwm along the ridge all the way to the top of the Pant is not a Byway Open to All Traffic (BOAT) and yet when I take photos of four wheel drive vehicles, quad bikes and scrambler bikes using this track, the riders without fail assure me that it is. Whilst there are many would be law abiding riders, their ignorance of Ordinance Survey maps often means that they end up breaking the law and tend to become threatening to boot!"

Are you one of the hundreds of thousands of people who use Gwent's biggest tourist attraction? Are you concerned that it could close in November, never to re-open again?

If you are, our reporter Emma Mackintosh would like to speak to you.
