  • "Yes, I believe the 'bus' that carried 20 or so passengers and therefore 20 or so expensive bikes will still be able to go up and down on the road. However, these roads will not be suitable for the general public??? Something doesn't seem right here. I expect in 5 years time (or however long it takes to remove all of the diseased trees) the scenic drive will just be a glorified bike track. It's a good job that those of us who are old enough to know, have had over 40 years of pleasure out of the scenic drive."

WE brought the news yesterday that the future of Cwmcarn Forest Drive is uncertain due to large-scale tree-felling which will begin in November.

Are you one of the hundreds of thousands of people who use Gwent's biggest tourist attraction? Are you concerned that it could close in November, never to re-open again?

If you are, our reporter Emma Mackintosh would like to speak to you.
