Blackwood boy, 16, in court on murder charge
A 16-YEAR-OLD boy charged with the murder of a Blackwood man appeared via video link before magistrates at Newport Magistrates' Court today.
The teenager from Blackwood is charged with the murder of 31-year-old Michael Lee Emmett, who died on Tuesday, September 2. He will now appear before Newport Crown Court on Monday after the magistrates said his case was too serious to be dealt with at magistrates' court.
Mr Emmett died a month after sustaining wounds in an incident on Friday, August 1, on Bryn Road and Apollo Way in Blackwood.
