Police appeal after van break-in bid
GWENT Police are appealing for information after two men tried to break in to a van in Machen last night.
Two men got out of a blue estate car, at around 8.30pm, and tried to open the back door of a parked Fiat van on Church Street. After realising they had been seen they got back into the car and drove off.
The men are white, in their late teens/early twenties, both had blue gloves on and one was wearing a grey hooded top. One was described as speaking with a local accent.
The car the men were in is described as a Lexus make.
