POLICE are investigating two reports of two men who were driving a small White Fiat Scudo van acting suspiciously in the Caerphilly area yesterday (Monday 17/03/15).
The first report related to the Asda Car Park, Pontygwindy Road in Caerphilly with the second report coming in at approximately 3:15pm in relation to the Caerphilly Mountain Snack bar car park.
The occupants of the van, two white men who were reported as having Irish accents, were attempting to sell TVs and laptops but left the areas when the callers refused to buy items.
Gwent Police is reminding residents not to buy items in this way as they are likely to be stolen, damaged or counterfeit. They said that people buying items like these run the risk of committing criminal offences and could face police prosecution.
Anyone who may have seen this van or has any information is asked to ring Gwent Police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 quoting 206 16/03/15.
