WHY do you keep on describing Lesley Riddoch, Kirsty Wark, lady MSPs and other public figures as "feisty"? My Scottish National Dictionary tells me that "feist" means, "The act of breaking wind in a suppressed manner." I don't think that I would like to be called "feisty".

David Arthur, Candlemas, Biggar.YOU indulge Lesley Riddoch by usingher own, self-appointed descriptor -"feisty" (February 19). Try: "arrogant, rude and loud."William G Walker,Ragnar House, Bogside, Alloa.
