TEENAGERS in the UK are more likely to get drunk underage than in any other developed country, according to a new report.

One-in-three 13 to 15 year olds in the UK said they had been drunk at least twice, the highest rate of any of the 24 countries in the study.

By the age of 15, half of girls and 44% of boys said they had been drunk twice and the UK was one of only four countries where girls were more likely than boys to drink.

Levels of other "risk" behaviours are also high when compared to other countries, according to the report by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development, which found that only Mexico, Turkey and the US have higher rates of teenage pregnancies than the UK.
