WASHINGTON: A British-born barman has been shot and killed in a

suspected mugging in Washington. Mr Adam Fox, 28, was shot in the

stomach after leaving a bar to catch a taxi. His body was found by a

policeman but lay in a mortuary for three days before he was identified

by friends who became concerned after he failed to turn up for work at

Perry's Restaurant. Mr Fox's wallet and black leather jacket were

missing when his body was found. He left Britain in 1987. His mother is

believed to live in Edgware, north London.
