THE Clydesdale Bank Premier League will kick-off as planned this weekend after potential strike action by referees was averted.

Talks will now take place between the whistlers and the SFA to fix new match day fees. Dundee United boss Craig Levein has been fined £5,000 for claiming whistler Mike McCurry "bottled" several decisions in his side's 3-1 league defeat to Rangers at Ibrox in May. Levein said: "I didn't expect to walk out with no penalty whatsoever."
