CHILTON Trinity pupil Will Stokes, 12, achieved a bronze medal at the Somerset Schools Athletic Association and Somerset County Athletic Association’s Combined Events championships held at Millfield School last Saturday.
Will Stokes, aged 12, competed in the 100 metre sprint, 3kg shot-put, long jump and 800 metres.
With a strong field in the under 13 boys competition, Will had to dig deep in the home straight to enable him to accumulate enough points to win the Bronze Medal with a score of 736 points, missing out on the Silver Medal by just two points.
Will, and his brother Louis, train all year round at Millfield School with the Academy of Combined Events (ACE), who are managed by well known Athletic coaches Graham Norris and Peter Grosjean.
