A woman has been taken to hospital in an air ambulance after her car left the M40 and hit a tree.
The collision occurred at about 11.30am between Junction 7 at Thame and Junction 6 at Watlington.
The vehicle has since been recovered and the road – which was temporary closed to allow the air ambulance to land – re-opened.
The woman was taken to the John Radcliffe in Headington.
