FIREFIGHTERS tackled a blaze at a house in Abercarn earlier this morning.
The alarm was raised at 1.57am when it was thought people were still inside the house on High Meadow in Abercarn.
The fire is believed to be accidental.
On arrival crews reported the fire was on the first floor and venting through windows and attic spaces and began a search for occupants.
They later confirmed there was no-one in the house.
Crews from Abercarn, Risca and Aberbargoed responded.
