NEWPORT Gwent Dragons centre Tyler Morgan has been recalled for Wales' World Cup quarter-final against South Africa on Saturday.

The 20-year-old from Caerleon will win his third cap against the Springboks at Twickenham while loosehead Gethin Jenkins and blindside Dan Lydiate also come into the XV that lost to Australia last weekend.

Morgan started the Pool A clash against Fiji but was left out against the Wallabies with George North moving to midfield from the wing. However, Liam Williams' tournament-ending injury has led to a recall for the Dragons prospect, who has just 23 regional appearances under his belt.

Jenkins gets the nod ahead of Paul James while Lydiate comes in for Justin Tipuric.

“After coming through an incredibly tough Pool, we are excited to be in the quarter-finals and returning to Twickenham,” said head coach Warren Gatland.

“The physicality and intensity of the matches so far will stand us in good stead for what is going to be a huge battle against the Springboks.

“They have grown game on game in this tournament and we know the challenge that faces us from a talented South African side.”
