UPDATE: 10.45am

Greg's plans were affected by Storm Imogen and he didn't take his scheduled stop at Penyrheol Community Centre.

Instead he ran from Cardiff Bay to BBC Wales in Llandaff and then cycled through Nelson, Ystrad Mynach, Llanbradach and Caerphilly town and back to Cardiff Bay, where he will complete the swimming leg of the triathlon.

BBC Radio 1 DJ Greg James will be heading through Gwent tomorrow as part of his Sport Relief challenge to do five triathlons in five days.

The drivetime presenter kicked off the first of his five triathlons in Belfast yesterday and will start the second in Cardiff tomorrow, Tuesday.

The mammoth challenge will see him run, swim and cycle more than 50 miles each day for five consecutive days in five different cities.

After a wet and windy start yesterday, Mr James will begin by cycling to Cardiff tomorrow morning from Abertridwr, a journey of around 10 miles.

He will be stopping at Penyrheol Community Centre in Caerphilly for a twenty-minute pit stop.

Ken Harris, who is helping to arrange his stop at the Caerphilly community centre, said the DJ will be accompanied with an entourage of about 27 other cyclists.

As he set off this morning in Belfast, James said: “I feel like jelly, I feel really sick but I'm so excited.

“This challenge is going to be difficult but I've trained really hard for this and I can't wait to get going.

“Seeing everyone's posts on social media has been really encouraging, so thank you. I'm going to do the best I can, make it entertaining along the way and hopefully raise lots of cash for Sport Relief".
