FIRE crews from Aberbargoed were called to a Blackwood residential area last night to tackle a deliberately started grass fire.
The blaze was located in woodland at the rear of St Rhidian Close, Pontllanfaith, Blackwood, with fire service personnel arriving at just before 9.05pm.
Beaters were used to control the fire.
