POLICE have warned Blackwood residents after two houses were burgled last night.
Money and car keys were stolen at a house on Elim Way in Pontllanfraith with jewellery and money was stolen from a house on Llanarth Road.
Two more attempted break-ins were reported alongside the spate of burglaries, one on Woodbine Road with a second on Elim Way.
Blackwood Inspector, Jason White said: "We are investigating each reported crime and asking residents to secure their property.
“Extra patrols have been put in place by uniformed and plain-clothed officers. I want to remind people not to leave valuable items on view or in reach of open windows."
Gwent Police have asked people to report any suspicious activity immediately on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
