FIRE crews attended to several deliberate fires yesterday and overnight.
South Wales Fire and Rescue Service were called to a deliberate refuse fire in Manmoel Crossing, Argoed, at 4.53pm yesterday.
A Rhymney crew attended to a deliberately set refuse fire near the primary school in Eglwys Fan at 6.02pm.
They also attended to a large well alight bonfire in Firs Road, Abergavenny, at 6.25pm.
Refuse was deliberately set on fire next to the community centre in Moorland Park, Lliswerry, at 7.24pm. A Maindee crew attended.
A fridge dumped on waste ground was deliberately set on fire in Phillipstown at 7.34pm. An Aberbargoed crew extinguished the fire and requested removal of the fridge.
A car was deliberately set on fire in Church Street, Bedwas, at 10.38pm. A Caerphilly crew attended to the fire.
Another car was totally destroyed by a deliberately set fire in a field off Ringland Centre, Newport, at 1.34am. A Maindee crew attended to the fire.
