BLACKWOOD act Into the Ark have made it through to the semi-finals on ITV's The Voice UK.
Tom Jones chose to save the Blackwood pair who "blew him away" with a version of Nick Jonas' Jealous, in last night's quarter-finals where 12 singers went down to eight.
Twenty-year-old singer Taylor Jones and 25-year-old guitarist and singer Dane Lloyd, who are part of team Tom, said they were “absolutely chuffed” to get through to semi-finals.
The duo were praised by the judges for their performance, which will see them go on to compete in the semi-finals which start next week.
Commenting on their performance of Jealous, judge Tom Jones said: “Where do I start here… They’re Welsh, from the Valleys.
“I thought you did a great job and I’ve been listening to you and I love the way you both sing. You’re unique, like I’ve said before. You don’t sound like anybody else, you have a sound of your own and that’s important to me.”
Fellow judge Will.i.am compared the pair to iconic duo Simon and Garfunkel, and said: “I haven’t seen a duo like you guys in a really long time.”
Mr Lloyd said he was “absolutely chuffed” with the judges feedback and Taylor Jones said the boys were “very happy” with the comments.
