GWENT trio Newport, Cross Keys and Bargoed are back in Principality Premiership action tonight after taking part in two high-scoring games at the weekend.

Newport, who lost 36-33 to Carmarthen Quins on Saturday, host regional rivals Bargoed (kick-off 7.15pm).

Bargoed were trailing Ebbw Vale 15-3 three days ago when the game was abandoned due to a supporter being taken seriously ill.

The Bulls won handsomely at Rodney Parade in the first part of the season, returning to Bargoed Park with a 35-14 victory under their belts.

However, Newport did prevail in the last meeting between the two, a 25-17 success in early December.

Bargoed face a Black and Ambers side tonight who have the National Cup final just around the corner.

Head coach Craig Warlow has rotated his squad again following the Quins reverse, making several changes to freshen things up with the big Principality Stadium clash against Merthyr coming up.

Injured duo Garin Harris and captain Rhys Jenkins have resumed light training but won't be available for tonight's fixture.

Meanwhile, Keys, 42-10 winners against Cardiff last time out, are home again this evening, with Llandovery travelling to Pandy Park (kick-off 7.30pm).

And it’s a special evening for former Keys skipper Leon Andrews as he makes his 250th appearance in the club’s colours.

The side shows a total of four changes from the one that blasted Cardiff off the park.

Up front, Ieuan Jones starts at number eight, Garin Price moves to the openside where he replaces Joe Thomas and Scott Andrews replaces Harvey Reader in the second row.

In the backs, Keys bring Barney Nightingale into the centre where he partners Andrews.
