Group wants smoking ban bid for Caerphilly play areas

CAERPHILLY Youth Forum is lobbying to ban smoking in enclosed children’s play areas.
A borough-wide competition was held for children to design a sign informing residents of the ban. Out of 100 entries received, Jasmine Amey Lewis, ten, from Libanus Primary School, won with the slogan “Young Lungs at Play”.
Deputy environment representative Joel Price and youth champion Cllr Mike Prew presented Jasmine with her design as it will appear in local parks and £100 in gift vouchers.
