Grant for Aberbargoed Grasslands

A GRANT of £65,000 from the Welsh Government for improvements at Aberbargoed Grasslands will mean walls, railings and tree planting can go ahead at the site.

The National Nature Reserve (NNR) site will get the grant as part of the Tranquil, Greener and Cleaner Programme.

The grasslands are Wales' first NNR in an urban setting.

New kerbing, an off-street parking area as well as access controls and the planting of native trees and shrubs will also be part of the improvements.
