Man injured after Pontlllanfraith assault
A 31-YEAR-OLD man is in a critical but stable condition following an assault in Pontllanfraith on the weekend.
The incident happened at 7.45pm on Saturday night near the Wong Chinese takeaway, Blackwood Road.
After suffering serious head injuries, the victim was taken to the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff, where he remains in a critical but stable condition.
Gwent Police appealed for anyone who was in the area or witnessed the incident to call 101.
